The ANU Coffee Courses

The Australian National University (ANU) runs an excellent professional development series called Coffee Courses. The online courses are chunked by topic (mostly to do with education technology) and the aim is for participants to complete the course in about the time it takes to have a cup of coffee (or tea if you prefer).

So, first, we wanted to bring your attention to these courses because they’re open to participants beyond the ANU, and they would be very useful for Macquarie staff looking for short and accessible professional development in teaching, particularly while FiLT is on pause. One example is an upcoming coffee course on Deep and Interactive Learning in Lectures, a topic we’ve covered quite a bit in Teche, and that we will continue to cover, given its timeliness, both at Macquarie and across the sector.

Second, we also wanted to let you know that we’re going to be collaborating with the Coffee Courses team and sharing resources around professional learning and edtech, and third, that we’re extremely excited about this because we have been admiring their work in this space for quite some time.
